The inspector interrogates Angelique (posing as Alexis) about the reasons that Angelique’s body was destroyed. The inspector later makes Angelique suspicious when remarking about Julia’s memory. Carolyn tells Roger that Alexis really is Angelique; someone out side of the drawing room is listening.
